    Introduction
      
    RMHD is a next generation codec that creates video files smaller, can be used for both linear video formats and interactive formats, such as 360 video and VR.

    The RMHD Product Manager has responsibility for product success in the China market; he/she will define product strategy and positioning, drive RMHD marketing promotion/activities; set priorities for product development and release; and build the partner/customer/user base and name recognition of this software in China, while developing and keeping relationships with content and video service providers.

    Success in this role requires both good understanding of the Media Ecosystem and familiarity with the industry’s main players and media codec technology. The RMHD product manager will drive the product development process, pricing models, promotion, and distribution. Candidates must be able to help engineering team to develop the product that is marketable, meeting and exceeding customer/market needs; and be able to create a crisp & clear value proposition to work with sales team to evangelize the technology and to drive new partnership and strategic deals.

    Key Responsibilities

    1.  Deeply understand Media Ecosystem and market requirements
    · Solid understand of China’s downloadable and streaming video industry. The big picture view with the industry ecosystem, and familiar with content aggregators and distributors, Chipset Vendors, OEM’s, Carries, Content Providers and Service Providers.
    · Solid understand of customer processes and challenges, market trend and future unmet needs. Familiar with Smart TV, tablets and OTT/IPTV STB , mobile devices, in-car entertainment and other applicable devices. Familiar with on line video streaming services.
    · Direct contacts with key players/customers with the aim of collecting feedback used in product/feature development
    · Understand of long term industry trends and how they will effect product requirements
    · Analysis on competition landscape, product gaps and opportunities; tracking on addressable market and market shares.
    2. Study new market opportunities and develop business cases & value propositions for new product and features
    · Identify industry problems and conceptualize products and enhancements to solve those problems, and then identify the full solutions.
    · Investigate and identify the revenue potential/business opportunities, and develop distribution strategy to capitalize on the revenue potential
    · Develop and drive strategy for increasing awareness and fast adoption of our RMHD technology
    · Introduce new ideas, channels, and tactics that scale the business in China
    3. Manage strategic partner/customer meetings and deals
    · Work with engineering & sales team preparing for important partner/customer meetings with product presentation and demo
    · Follow-up the meetings for feedback and action plans
    · Support sales team for ensuring target margin and revenue for large/complex deals
    4. Formulate go-to-market plans and work with the rest of the organization to execute
    · Lead development group go-to-market (create SKUs, pricing, user manuals)
    · Set priorities for product development and release sequences according to the market priorities and internal resource constrains
    · Develop product marketing strategies and articulate product roadmaps to sales team, partner, stakeholders and customers.
    · Aid marketing group in the launch (product presentations, sales training, PR, datasheets, web page updates, tradeshows, etc.)
    · Support customer trials
    5. Work effectively and accountably as part of a highly matrixed team
    · Represent global needs and opportunities for directly assigned products
    · Represent specific needs of the China market for all RMHD products
    · Work effectively with the Chinese IP Sales team, R&D team, operation team, and Global Sales and marketing team
    · Accountable for project completion and revenue goals

    Requirements

    Education           
    Bachelor or Master Degree (Engineering or Computer Science degree preferred).  MBA highly desired.
    Chinese and English (desired)
    Working Experience
    · 10+ years or overall business experience, 5 years in product management or product marketing or pre-sales function
    Functional experience
    · A unique blend of business and technical savvy; innovative, a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality
    · A combination of strong analytic and communication skills with an understanding of product management and marketing techniques; and
    · Serve as a passionate evangelist ( both internal as external ) for the product offering
    · Working experiences with or leading an engineering team is a plus
    Technical experience
    · Experience with video codec ( H.264/H.265, AVS, … ) and codec technologies (RTSP, HTTP Streaming, servers, encoders, codec, …
    · Experience with VR/AR/360 Video technology is a plus
    · Experience with device media software (Android, Windows, iOS)
    Market experience
    · Specifying market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by ongoing visits to customers and non-customers
    · Defining a products “ go-to-market “ strategy, in particular the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer
    · Analyzing potential partner relations for the product
